Ferguson Federal Credit Union Recognized for Credit Union Advocacy

Biloxi, MS (05/13/22) — Ferguson Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Tylertown, MS, was recognized by the Mississippi Credit Union Association for promoting and advocating for the credit union movement through their support of credit union advocacy initiatives.

Initiatives in the Mississippi Credit Union Advocacy Award Program include support of credit union political action committees, participation in credit union advocacy programs and initiatives, and helping lawmakers understand the unique structure of credit unions and the benefits they provide to their member-owners and community.

Ferguson Federal Credit Union employees were also recognized for their voluntary participation in the Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC) Payroll Deduction Program (PRD), which helps support and defend the credit union movement.

Vernon Clevenger, Ferguson Federal Credit Union President/CEO, currently serves as Mississippi’s CULAC trustee.  The CULAC Board of Trustees serves as the governing body for CULAC and includes representatives from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
