Current advocacy efforts & potential
impacts to credit unions.

Together with the Credit Union National Association, the Mississippi Credit Union Association represents the interests of Mississippi’s credit unions with federal and state elected officials and helps credit unions stay informed of key legislative issues in Washington, D.C., and Mississippi. In addition, we regularly communicate with and attend events for both federal and state elected officials to develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with our elected officials and share with them the voice of Mississippi credit unions.

We do the same on the regulatory advocacy front, too, representing the interests of Mississippi credit unions with state and federal regulators. Our staff gathers information from credit unions to help formulate regulatory policy and respond to proposals. MSCUA also submits comment letters providing regulatory authorities with credit union views on selected issues related to existing and proposed regulations at the state and federal levels.
