Earn Your Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) Designation

In partnership with the Louisiana Credit Union League, MSCUA is pleased to offer an enhanced version of CUNA’s Certified Financial Counseling program (FiCEP) to provide Mississippi credit union professionals the opportunity to earn their Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation and help more members achieve financial health!

Our enhanced program uses the CUNA FiCEP textbook and adds elements to help participants easily grasp and retain counseling concepts and knowledge. Our engaging and interactive webinars use relevant examples and our fill-in-the blank study guides and live exam prep session help reinforce the knowledge you need to pass the exam and effectively perform your counseling duties.

Plus, our program offers the following enhancements to keep you connected with and fueled by ideas from a multi-state credit union financial counselor community:

  • Counselors Corner, an online community & networking tool, is an extended service of the FiCEP Portal, the instructional enhancement tool used by those who earned their Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation.  Through Counselors Corner you can network, share ideas, and bounce questions off certified counselors from multiple states.  Start discussions, provide input, upload and share documents, and more.  It is easy to sign-up for and connect with this financial counselor community.  SIGN UP HERE NOW!
  • Quarterly Counselor Chats, free quarterly live zoom chats featuring conversations & idea sharing with CCUFCs from multiple states as well as highlights of credit unions who are making an impact with their members and their communities in financial literacy and well-being.

Who Should Become a Certified Financial Counselor?
Anyone with a desire to positively influence member’s financial health should have the opportunity to become a CCUFC, but we especially recommend this program for lending staff, collections staff, branch managers, trainers and educators.

More than 200 Mississippi credit union professionals have already completed the program and earned their Credit Union Certified Financial Counselor (CCUFC) Designation to help members achieve financial health!
