MUW Federal Credit Union’s McDaniel Inducted Into Hall of Fame

(8/22/21) – – MUW Federal Credit Union Director Patricia McDaniel has been inducted into the Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame. Created in 1994, the Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame is the state’s highest credit union honor, recognizing individuals that have devoted their life to the philosophy and success of credit unions at the local, state or national level.

McDaniel began her volunteer service with MUW Federal Credit Union in 1983. She currently serves as vice president on the board of directors.

McDaniel has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Mississippi University for Women and a master’s degree from the University of Alabama. She worked for the Mississippi University for Women for more than 40 years, first as a librarian and then as alumni director. She is a recipient of the Mississippi University for Women Alumni Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

McDaniel also serves as Regional Director of the Mississippi State Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts and has served as showcase co-chair and registrar.

Fellow credit union directors describe McDaniel as faithful and dedicated to the credit union, helping contribute in many ways over the years to the credit union’s success.  She is noted for providing solid and principled leadership, and for being a helpful and knowledgeable resource for credit union staff.

McDaniel was inducted into the Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame on August 22, 2021.
