Several Credit Union-Sponsored Shred + Med Disposal + Device Disposal Days Held in April

The credit unions of Mississippi are pleased to again partner with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office to host shred days across the state.  The events help Mississippians protect themselves against ID Theft by shredding documents with sensitive information.  They also provide the opportunity to safely dispose of medications and personal electronic devices.

These special events were featured in Ocean Springs (See photos) on Friday, April 12th, and Vicksburg on Friday April 19th.

Credit Unions Celebrate National Credit Union Youth Month With Schools

Members Exchange supported the Rankin County School District Career Expo. The credit union had a survey the students could take on the most popular way they spend money, such as using a debit card or a service such as Venmo. Each student who took it was entered to win $25 for completing the survey.  READ MORE > >

Mutual Credit Union spoke to Raymond Elementary School 4th graders about money-saving tips, helping them understand it’s never too early to learn good financial habits. READ MORE >>

Focusing on the theme “Saving For A Rainy Day” 1st Mississippi emphasized the significance of saving for unexpected life events and encouraged students at Magnolia Middle School (view photos) and Meridian High School (view photos) to start their very own savings journey.

Keesler Federal Contributes to Local Charitable Organization

Keesler FCU recently supported The Lord Is My Help -Ocean Springs, an organization that has been feeding those in need since 1983. They are an advocate for the hungry, ill, disabled, and homebound. They also travel between Jackson and Harrison counties to help families in need. Their food kitchen serves 300 meals daily between in-kitchen and meal deliveries.

American Cancer Society Fundraiser ‘Best Dressed’ Recognizes Members Exchange’s Munn

Members Exchange’s Misty Munn was honored as one of the Best Dressed Jackson Honorees, benefiting the American Cancer Society. At the Best Dressed Ball Jackson celebration event the credit union supported Misty and also sponsored the photo booth. Two Keesler FCU Professionals Selected ‘Top 10 Under 40 Coast’ nominees

Congratulations to Keesler FCU’s Community Development Officer Samantha Bignell and Director of Information Security Stefanie Moran, both of whom were among the Top 10 Under 40 One Coast Award nominees. Moran was also selected as one of this year’s winners. READ MORE > >

Navigator Employees Support United Way, Attend Event

Nearly 40 Navigator Team Members donate to United Way every week, with a pledge of $13,000 for 2024 to four United Way agencies, including the United Way of Jackson, George and Greene Counties. Navigator was proud to be a part of the United Way of Jackson, George and Greene Counties’ Annual Meeting and met with this year’s guest speaker, Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch.  VIEW PHOTOS > >
