This position will work under the direct supervision of the credit union president. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and knowledge of financial institution activities, be self-motivated, and possess excellent leadership and analytical/problem-solving skills as well as excellent verbal & written communication skills. The candidate should also be comfortable with promoting the credit union through member/community education and outreach activities, including public speaking in front of medium-sized groups of members, employees, and the community. Previous experience in lending and compliance preferred.
Five years of credit union or financial institution experience in a key management position supervising three or more employees, or five years of experience in a closely related field with equal responsibilities.

Director of Member Experience
Posted 11/22/19 – SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Sunbelt Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Laurel, MS, is seeking a Director of Member Experience. Under the direction and supervision of the CEO, leads and manages Member Services and My Teller Plus (MTP) operations to insure they each meet or exceed sales, service and operational goals as assigned. Participate in business development and community outreach events to establish a presence and drive new member relationships. Interacts professionally with senior management, department managers, and other employees within the Credit Union. Coaches and develops staff in accordance with Credit Union Philosophy and vision. Enforce strict adherence to established policies and procedures by all. Have the ability to assist in training employees and be able to explain products’ and/or services and their values, benefits, features, rates and fees to members, while maintaining the highest quality of member service.
Ensure the Member Services and MTP teams represent the credit union in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner. Gives prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of all transactions. Stays current with credit union membership requirements, deposit products, services, loan products, and marketing campaigns.
