Posted 12/06/19 — A credit union in the Jackson, MS area is seeking a full-time Member Service Representative.

Primary duties:

  • Duties require maximum public contact with members, potential members and fellow employees. Must maintain a cooperative and positive attitude.
  • Maintains high accuracy in handling of all transactions and assigned duties, especially those dealing with cash and members’ accounts. Remain compliant with Credit Union check handling policies.
  • Assist members with debit card and some credit card needs including questions, issues, ordering a new card, blocking current card, fraud/disputes, and more as needed.
  • Processing monthly member maintenance reports as specified by credit union.
  • Maintains referral/sales goals such as deposits/loans and other services at the acceptable level as determined by the Credit Union.
  • Responsible for all functions associated with opening, maintain and closing accounts. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: New Membership Account, Sub-Accounts, IRA’s, Share Certificates, Custodial Accounts, Deceased Accounts and Trust Accounts.
  • Inputs, verifies and updates loan applications into the system according to current procedures.
  • Must represent the Credit Union in a professional manner. Must be neat in appearance and punctual.
  • Must keep members transactions and other Credit Union business in the strictest of confidence.
  • Must be knowledgeable and able to detect fraudulent items including, but not limited to; currency, checks, identification.
  • Must be exceptionally alert and possess maximum maturity to handle unusual situations including but not limited to problem solving and handling different behavioral styles of the members.
  • Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer or any machine or resources provided to the incumbent employee to use. Also must be proficient in any applicable software, in the use of a calculator and have a basic knowledge of the Internet.
  • Must be knowledgeable and able to detect fraudulent items including, but not limited to; currency, checks, identification.
  • The incumbent must possess a thorough understanding of all applicable areas of the Credit Union, support a variety of positions and job functions, and be able to work independently.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with Federal and State regulations, Board policies, as well as departmental and credit union procedures.
  • Willing to learn and assist in any area as needed.

Director of Member Experience

Posted 11/22/19 – SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Sunbelt Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Laurel, MS, is seeking a Director of Member Experience. Under the direction and supervision of the CEO, leads and manages Member Services and My Teller Plus (MTP) operations to insure they each meet or exceed sales, service and operational goals as assigned. Participate in business development and community outreach events to establish a presence and drive new member relationships. Interacts professionally with senior management, department managers, and other employees within the Credit Union. Coaches and develops staff in accordance with Credit Union Philosophy and vision. Enforce strict adherence to established policies and procedures by all. Have the ability to assist in training employees and be able to explain products’ and/or services and their values, benefits, features, rates and fees to members, while maintaining the highest quality of member service.

Ensure the Member Services and MTP teams represent the credit union in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner. Gives prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of all transactions. Stays current with credit union membership requirements, deposit products, services, loan products, and marketing campaigns.

Manager

AMPOT Federal Credit Union, Hamilton, Mississippi, is seeking a full-time Manager. The credit union has $10 million in assets and serves approximately 1,500 members.

The Manager will work in concurrence with the Board of Directors to develop and implement initiatives for its members while ensuring the long term financial health of the credit union. The position is responsible for all operations of the credit union, including member service, employee relations, accounting, regulatory reporting, administration, and sales.
